Naughty Nickname

You will never believe what I just found out! The nickname everyone has been calling me since I was born means something kind of naughty in Spanish. Yikes! No wonder people give Mom and Dad weird looks when they call me Chi-Chi in public. And to think that Uncle Tommy is fluent in Spanish and didn't even stop the madness. And Auntie Katie knew too! For the love!!! Now I have to start all over and earn a new nickname. Any suggestions? I would like something short, catchy, cute and definitely not naughty.

Introducing George

Hi everyone! This our buddy, George. He likes to hang out with us and play all day long and he keeps an eye on us when we nap. He doesn't even mind it when we spit up on him, drool all over him and he even smiles while we scream and cry! He is famous, too. You may know him by his professional name: Curious George. He is in lots of books and he gets into all sorts of trouble. We can't wait until we are big enough to find some trouble of our own.

Busy Week!

Hi everyone. We had such a busy week that we didn't get a chance to write anything all week long! Matthew had to have two hernias repaired on Friday. He did great and the doctors said he was "very robust" and "tough as nails." Apparently, he wasn't too thrilled about resting quietly on a bed in an operating room with strangers wearing masks. Casey was very good, too. He waited patiently with us at the hospital and flirted with every single one of Matthew's nurses. It was the first night the boys spent apart...I stayed with Matthew in the hospital and Brian had Casey at home. Thankfully, it went well and we had a nice quiet weekend at home. Now that our computer is back up and running we hope to post messages and pictures more frequently. Take care everyone, and thank you for checking in on our blog!

No Pictures Today

We are sorry to inform you that our computer is misbehaving and we can't figure out to get a picture onto this post. Hopefully we'll get the problem solved soon and get some new photos posted.

It was a busy week. We went to the doctor on Thursday and Casey now weighs 12 lbs and 10 oz and is 22 1/2 inches long. Matthew is the big boy at 13 lbs and 10 oz and 23 1/2 inches. We are both on the growth chart curve now for our age! We had to get shots, too so it was not all fun and games. We don't understand the doctor or his staff...first we go and they say how big and cute we are and then they inspect us from head to toe and we get one compliment after the other. And then they come in with needles! Three of them for each of us! Very strange.

A special note for Halmunee and Grandma Geri: we learned about the letter "H" on Friday and the letter "G" on Saturday. So far, they are our very favorite letters of the alphabet!

Hi Everyone

We wanted to say hi this week and let you know we would have written sooner, but we were too busy taking a nap. Since we were sleeping at the same time our Mom absolutely forbid anyone from waking us up. We go to the doctor this week for our 4 month check-up and immunizations. We aren't too excited about the shots, but we can't wait to see how big we are. Grandma Jo's scale in Montana said Casey weighed 12.5 pounds and Matthew weighed 13.5 pounds. Mom says we are as heavy as a bowling ball, but Dad always whispers in our ears "Not the bowling ball your mother uses...you weigh more than nine pounds." Whatever. Parents are weird!

Rollin' Nolan

This is a picture of us with our cousin Nolan. Everyone says he used to be as little as us, but we don't believe them. His dad, Uncle Dennis, is a lot bigger than our dad...and we mean A LOT bigger. He can do all sorts of cool stuff: he rolls over and over, he can put both of his feet in his mouth at the same time and he can almost sit up by himself. He talks too...we don't know what he says but it sounds very important. We wonder what kinds of cool stuff our cousin Josiah can do? Joelle is younger than us so maybe we can teach her a few things. We get to take another trip at Thanksgiving to meet them and Baby Macias. It can't come fast enough!

Back From Vacation

Hi everyone. We got back last week from our first vacation and it was great! Everytime we did something cute a crowd of aunties, uncles, grandparents and neighbors would surround us and clap. We never had to wait our turn to be held and Grandma Geri and Grandpa Tim even let us sit on their laps at the dinner table! Mom never lets us get away with that...she says if we get to eat then so does she and Dad. Anyhow, it was a busy week and here is a picture of our baptism in Anaconda at Holy Family Church. We don't remember much except that we were sleeping and then someone was pouring water over our heads. It was so hot there that we didn't even mind...it was refreshing! We took lots of pictures so we'll post some more soon.
