Santa's Helpers

We hope you all had a nice Christmas. Ours was great. We moonlighted as elves this year. It wasn't a bad gig, but the outfits leave something to be desired. We went to Montana and spent the week with mom's side of the family. It was COLD and there was white stuff all over the place. We didn't go outside much, but it sure was fun to look out the window at the snow when it sparkled in the sunlight.

We played and played and played...and then played some more. Nolan knows how to have fun and as soon as we can keep up with him we plan on getting into all sorts of trouble. He can crawl, stand up on the furniture and yell Da-da super loud. He also brought his Beagle with him and she didn't even mind when we petted her nose. Benny is pretty mellow. He likes to observe the action and didn't even mind when we pushed him on the baby swing. Mom and Auntie Sue got a little excited when we tried to help Nolan under dunk Benny on the swing.

Happy New Year to all! Best wishes in 2007!!!!!

Rah Boys Invitational Tournament

So...our parents got us this mat to keep the house from being overtaken by bacteria growing in the carpet. Matty tends to leave a little of each meal on the floor and Casey has been known to blow out a diaper or two. Since half the O'Reilly houses have wrestling mats in them we decided to follow suit and put one in the family room. Every now and then we like to get out singlets, put on our head gear and hit the mat. We are a little rough around the edges and tend to follow the WWF rules a little closer than the AAU rules, but you have to start somewhere. Here are a few pictures and interview of our last match.

Mom: Casey, it looks like you came to the mat today ready to wrestle.
Casey: Oh yeah, I was pumped up. I was trying to stare Matty down and let him know that I wasn't messing around.
Mom: Matthew, it appears that you fell behind early and took a cheap shot to the face.
Matthew: You know Casey...he gets all excited and forgets the rules. Don't worry, it is all part of the master plan.
Mom: Casey, after taking a quick breather for the cameras what made you decide to put Matty in a head lock?
Casey: I heard about this move called a "Half Nelson" so I just wanted to try it.
Matthew: Once again, Casey forgot that this is not the WWF.
Mom: Well, you seem to be very forgiving, Matthew. The picture of you sitting next to each other is adorable.
Matthew: Mom, please don't use the word adorable. No wrestler in the history of man has been described with the word "adorable." At any rate, I was just waiting for my moment to pounce.
Mom: What happened next?
Casey: Matthew thinks he pinned me, but I was just lying on my back counting the lights in the living room. Five lights to be exact.
Matthew: Whatever, I knew if I waited long enough a pin would be inevitable. Who is pumped up now?

Tree Trimming

We have been very busy decorating for the holidays and we helped Mom and Dad put up our tree last weekend. Do you like it? We think it is a nice tree, but we aren't allowed to touch it. This doesn't make much sense to us. Who wants to just look and not touch? Sometimes we just can't take it and grab ahold of a branch when mom or dad carries us past it on the way up the stairs.

So far our favorite part of the Christmas season is the music. Dad's version of "Up on the Rooftop" is pretty entertaining. He really gets into it and snaps his fingers during the "click, click, click" part. We posed for our Christmas picture and mom is busy sending out the cards so keep an eye out for our holiday greeting. We do look pretty cute, if we do say so ourselves.

Where's Benny?

Hi everyone. We wanted to give you a run-down of the rest of our trip to the East Coast. After leaving Halmunee and Baba's house we drove to Ashburn to meet Auntie and Uncle Kim and to drop off some golf clubs. Then we hopped back into the car for a quick drive to Mom's friend Alexis' house. We had a blast meeting Alexis, Rob and their spit fire little girl, Olivia. Olivia was the perfect hostess (she is her mother's daughter) and she let us play with her toys and even introduced us to her dogs. We are pretty sure we could find some serious mischief if left alone together for a few minutes.

After we left Olivia's house we were on a mission to find Benny. He is our newest cousin and he lives in Washington DC. Mom and Dad kept talking about the best way to get to his building and someplace called Northwest DC. Mom and Dad said they used to live in DC, but we don't believe them because it took a long time to find our way to Benny's and we had to call Auntie Katie and Uncle Tommy for directions twice. And Auntie Mayme had to stand on the street corner and wave us down. It was totally worth the effort because Benny is the best. So cute, sweet and mellow. And, his house was full of aunties and uncles who wanted to play with us for hours! A big thank you to the Macias crew for entertaining us while Mom caught up with Katie! WE LOVE ROCKET MAN! We posed for lots of pictures, but we never got one of just us and Benny so we'll have to post one of those after Christmas. So...Benny, are you ready for your close up?

We hung out with Auntie Mayme while Mom and Dad went to Shlomo (yes, that really is his name) and Marnie's wedding. Mom and Dad were all worried that we would see who could scream louder while they were gone, but give us a little credit, please. We know how to behave. And, we learned that it is hard to pull one over on Auntie Mayme. Anyhow, it was a great week. Busy and hectic, but very fun. Take care everyone!
