Happy Birthday Uncle Andy

Dear Uncle Andy-

Happy (belated) birthday to you! Did you get to eat some steak yesterday with Halmunee, Baba, Julie, Johnny, Josiah and Ellie? Was is tasty? Dad said you went to Brooklyn to eat at a special restaurant. Did they sing Happy Birthday to you and bring you piece of cake with a candle in it?

Well, we wanted to do something special for your birthday, but we sort of spent most of the day in time out. We aren't supposed to climb on the ledge by the TV and fireplace and we try not to, but it REALLY hard to just walk by that ledge and not at least try to sneak up there. The fire place opens up and all the logs can be moved around AND the wood piece on the front of the TV comes off! It is like a secret world of danger and excitement for little boys. But, we always get caught and get sent to time out. We used to just have one time out place, but when there started being a line for it Mom made another one for us.

We did include the first picture of both of us walking at the same time. The fence for the pool is in the way, but we really are both upright and moving forward. We hope you had a great birthday Uncle Andy and we can't wait to see you in July!

Happy Birthday Ellie

We are wishing a very, very happy first birthday to our cousin Ellie!!! We had so much fun with you at our birthday party and we were bummed when we realized we weren't going to make yours. Apparently, we don't do well on long flights (or really any activity that involves sitting still for more than 10 minutes). We heard that you are celebrating all the Korean traditions. We are sure you looked beautiful in your dress and were the belle of the ball. Tell Josiah and your mom and dad we said hi and that we can't wait to see you all in a few months!

By the way, we LOVE our pool and we are trying to talk our parents into bringing it with us to Whitefish so come prepared with your swim suit, floatie toys and lots of sunscreen. We have been swimming almost every day this week and every time we look in the back yard we start banging on the door so that mom and dad know we are ready to get into the water RIGHT NOW! Sometimes we aren't sure that they understand what we want (hello, we don't know how to talk yet) so we yell as loud as we can, jump up and down and even cry to get our point across. Dad seems to be more responsive the the hollering and gives us our way more than mom does. Dad is definitely the softie.

Messy Boys

The title of this post should be Casey versus Barbecue and Matthew versus Tuna Hot Dish. Casey couldn't get the barbecue pork into his mouth fast enough. Apparently, he loves "the other white meat." Matthew, on the other hand, went berserk when we tried to feed him the tuna casserole. To say he didn't like it would be the understatement of the century. We had no idea that a one year old could throw food so far while in the sitting position. We think he has a future as a catcher on a baseball team.

The big news is that Matty is officially walking. He learned in spite of being chased, knocked over and cut off by Casey. If we can catch them walking at the same time and get a picture, we'll post it. Take care!

Hi!

Hey there, everyone. We have definitely been slacking on the blog lately. Mom has tried a few times to post something and the computer keeps eating her hard work so this is a test run to see if everything is working properly.

Casey is walking all over the place and Matthew is standing on his own. We have been passing a cold back and forth for a few weeks and we had a chicken pox scare (broke out in a rash all over the place after the vaccine and mom raced to the pharmacy to buy calamine lotion with visions of 500 blister per kid). Fortunately, it didn't progress and we have an economy size jar of lotion for future use. Casey managed to nearly knock one of his teeth out of his mouth on Monday so we had a visit to the dentist (the Tooth Fairy...that is seriously the name of the office) and his tooth seems to have re-attached itself. One would think that having a dental injury would deter him from biting Matthew, but it really hasn't slowed him down yet. Matthew still climbs everywhere and seems to really enjoy climbing onto furniture just to look down and taunt Casey. Good times!

Take care everyone. Congrats to Uncle Andy on finally moving into his new place and to Uncle Joe on his graduation from UGF!
